You will now have received your 2008 Tax Return. So please start collecting together all of the required information NOW and do not leave it until the last minute as in previous years! Your accountant would really like a quiet Christmas and January! NEW THIS YEAR - paper returns must be filed by 31 October

Mileage Records

Do not forget that it is an Inland Revenue requirement that you keep a record of your business mileage. Get into the habit of making a note of the mileage everytime you use the car for business.

Keeping Personal Records

Remember to keep your personal bank statements, paying in slips and cheque stubs as well as those for your business. If you have an Inland Revenue investigation you may have to produce them.
